DOURO VALLEY with Lunch in a Boutique Winery and 1h Boat Tour
This is an unforgettable journey to the unparalleled Douro Valley region with the astonishing terraces that were carved in the mountain to produce the Port Wine.
During this experience, you will visit the incomparable DOURO VALLEY, the world's premier wine region and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The day begins at our meeting point then we will head towards the Valley.
For the journey we will make a loop around the valley to better see and enjoy all the different landscapes, first passing the N323 with all the amazing viewpoints of the valley and where we will have the first stop, a small winery of a local producer just situated in the heart of the valley with the astonishing views to the village of Pinhão.
In this winery we will try 2 regular wines, and 1 Vintage Port, vintage which is considered the king of the Port wines.
After this magnificent visit, we will have a small walk at the Pinhão village for 1 hour Boat tour along the Douro River to see the astonishing views of the vineyards and impressive terraces.
The way back will be through the National Road 222, one of the most iconic roads in Portugal, winner of the "World's Best Driving Road Award", until Peso da Régua to visit a last winery and have a very typical Portuguese lunch.
The lunch will start with a welcome drink (a PortoT Tonic) and some snacks served at the terrace of the winery and then we will have the main dish paired with a vinho Verde (green wine) and red wine, for dessert a 10 years tawny wine with a burnt cream. After this delicious lunch, time for a quick visit to the Port wine aging room for a quick lesson about the art of Making Port Wine.
Arrival to Porto will be around 6PM
