HIKING in the Douro Valley
Douro Valley is the most amazing wine region in the world and the only one classified as a world heritage site by UNESCO. In this experience you will have the chance to hike trough the vines and visit one of the most amazing wineries and have a tasting.
We will hike/walk through the vineyards in Douro valley until the amazing Pinhão village trough the amazing scenario of the Douro Valley Vineyards, wine region which is the only wine region in the world which is world heritage site by UNESCO.
On our way, we will have a picnic in an amazing spot, just in the middle of the vine (Food not included)
After the picnic, the hike will continue with the amazing views of Douro Valley vineyards until the beautiful village of Pinhão where will finish our hike and have the chance to visit the secular train station.
The hike has an extension of 9 Km and can be considered easy to medium for people who can walk easily 10 km. And difficult to people not used to walking long distances.
From August to September, temperatures can get easily to 40ºC (115ªF) please make sure you can handle the heat.
After this amazing day, we can take a dive in the River to refresh before returning back to Porto.
